Dermatology office in the La Jolla area seeking 2 FULL TIME Medical Assistants

We are a growing medical and cosmetic practice committed to providing exceptional patient care in a welcoming, positive setting. MEDICAL EXPERIENCE REQUIRED, DERMATOLOGY A PLUS.
Responsibilities to include:
Medical Assistant Responsibilities
- Escort patients to exam rooms
- Take brief histories of reason for patient's visit
- Set up for and assisting physician in skin biopsies and surgeries
- Bandage of patient's biopsy and surgical sites
- Assist physician in the documentation of the patient's visit
- Log biopsy specimens and ship specimens to outside laboratory
- Call patients to share laboratory results
- Assist in responding to phone calls from patients
- Clean medical instruments and exam rooms
- Educate patients on cosmetic procedures and products
- Organize sample closets
- Organize and cataloging digital photos for patient charts
Must have:
- Experience in computerized medical scheduling (Eclinical works a plus)
- Knowledge of insurance and medical terminology
- Possess excellent customer service skills
- Be organized, reliable and professional
- Be motivated and a self-directed
- Be friendly and outgoing
- Past dermatology medical office experience a plus.
