COBALT Health & Wellness is Hiring a Dental Assistant (Part-time) Near Callicoon, NY

Job description

COBALT Health & Wellness has an immediate opening for a Part-Time Dental Assistant for on-site dental services at the Delaware Valley Job Corps Center in Callicoon, NY

COBALT Health & Wellness, a division of SourceNet Global, is a well-established, Colorado based Healthcare organization with over 25 years of staffing Commercial & Government Contracts throughout the US.

Clinical Requirements

· Must have an active, unrestricted certificate as a dental assistant in New York State

· Must maintain license requirements/certification and required insurance coverage
during entire performance period

. Provide proof of professional liability insurance

Responsibilities:
A. Provides preventive dental health education which will promote good oral hygiene and dental health improvement.

B. Consults with center wellness staff, counselors, residential advisors, instructors and other appropriate staff concerning the ongoing dental health problems and needs of students

C. Develops and/or assures compliance with infection control policies and procedures.

D. Ensures the maintenance, confidentiality and safeguarding of all student dental records.

E. Establishes priorities for providing comprehensive dental care, based upon diagnoses and within program constraints.

F. Takes and develops dental radiographs (x-rays) as directed by center dentist.

G. Monitors inventory levels and reorder dental supplies as needed.

H. Performs office management tasks that often require the use of a personal computer (e.g., scheduling appointments, answering the telephone, and billing).

I. Performs quality assurance record audits.

J. Participates in department system for student feedback or concerns.

K. Maintains dental records.

L. Maintains dental statistics for dental productivity and monthly utilization reports.

Job Type: Part-time, Contract: 8.5 hours/week

Salary Range : $18 - $21 per hour
