Global Real Estate Investment firm seeking a highly skilled and motivated Staff Accountant to join their corporate accounting group. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working within the General Ledger possess strong analytical skills, and demonstrate keen attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
• Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual closings.
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements by GAAP.
• Assist in the preparation of management reports, financial summaries, and variance analyses.
• Support external audit processes by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
• Oversee the accounts payable and receivable processes.
• Ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, and collections.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures.
• Assist in the implementation and maintenance of internal controls to safeguard assets.
• Conduct financial analysis and special projects as required.
• Collaborate with other departments on cross-functional initiatives.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 1 year of accounting experience
• Proven experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process.
• Proficiency in accounting software (Netsuite, Sap)
• Advanced MS Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, and data analysis.
• Experience with ERP systems and financial consolidation software.
• Familiarity with regulatory compliance and reporting requirements.
