Cobalt is Hiring an Office Manager Near Arlington, VA

About the Position
Cobalt is currently in need of an Office Manager who will report to and assist the Administration department. The office manager position is responsible for managing the reception area, as well as assisting with basic accounting duties, office maintenance, and special projects. Cobalt offers many incentives for its employees such as weekly catered lunches, quarterly events, and more. The Office Manager will be able to enjoy these incentives as a member of the Cobalt team, but they will also be responsible for aiding in the coordination of them, as well as other general daily tasks.

Cobalt hires talented, motivated people who like to see the results of their work, develop their own skills, and strive to grow the company. This is an in-person, part-time position based at our headquarters in Crystal City (Arlington), Virginia, where employees are expected to work onsite in our office in order to help encourage teamwork and collaboration.

Primary Job Duties
  • General office and reception area management, including handling and distribution of mail and deliveries, greeting visitors, and workplace/equipment maintenance
  • Basic accounting duties, including expenses, collections, monthly reports, etc.
  • Manage the budget and coordination of the purchase of office supplies, furniture, equipment, etc., for the entire staff
  • Responsible for keeping snacks and drinks stocked around the office
  • Coordination of weekly staff lunches, client meetings, and our monthly all-staff days
  • Assist with the coordination of company events and volunteering efforts
  • Gather and collate information from internal systems to generate reports
  • Assist with hiring efforts, such as reviewing resumes, tracking hiring data and metrics, coordinating interview schedules, processing reference checks, etc.
  • Assist other staff and departments in an administrative capacity, as needed

Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel, as well as experience with other Microsoft Office products
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Excellent organizational skills & attention to detail
  • Adaptability, and willingness to learn new skills on the job
  • Fluency in English (written and oral)
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
