****JOB SUMMARY****

The primary function of the Service Porter is to assist in the safe, efficient, and profitable operation of the Service Department. S/he assists with quality control by performing road tests to ensure all service work has been performed completely and that the vehicle is safe to operate. The Service Porter drives vehicles to and from service areas, customer locations, and other repair facilities. S/he ensures good vehicle flow by working with the Service team to maintain orderliness and efficiency of vehicle locations. The Service Porter helps maintain the organization and cleanliness of the vehicle lot, shop, and service areas. S/he cleans vehicles for delivery to customers and as needed by the Service team.

****ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS AND PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES****

- Road test trucks to help diagnose problems and determine if repairs are complete.

- Pick up and deliver vehicles as needed

- Parking and moving vehicles and equipment to maintain efficiency and organization

- Help clean the shop, service areas, building, and grounds

- Clean vehicles in the wash bay prior to customer delivery and as needed by the service team.

- Clean and maintain wash bay. Reorder cleaning supplies as needed

- Present a professional and dependable image for Bruckner Team

- Seek opportunities to enhance the customer experience by sharing customer insights and/or feedback with the Service Manager and General Manager

- Strengthen customer relationships with prompt and courteous service

- Maintain a valid commercial drivers license and clean driving record while following all safety protocols and best practices required by law and company policy

- Embrace and live out Bruckners Core Values when making decisions, while interacting with others and while performing the duties and responsibilities of this role.

****POSITION REQUIREMENTS****

- High School Diploma or equivalent

- Active and valid commercial drivers license, clean driving record

- Minimum two years as a mechanic or CDL driver familiar with pre-trip and post-trip inspections as outlined by the Department of Transportation.

- Eagerness to learn new things and accept new challenges

- Desire to grow within the company and dealership

- Positive and energetic demeanor with ability to recognize the need for urgency of speedy vehicle pick up and delivery

****PHYSICAL DEMANDS****

- Requires endurance to drive, stop and go a large portion of the day while getting in and out of vehicles several times a day.

- Must be able to pass a physical and drug and alcohol screens during pre-employment screening, randomly and/or as requested throughout employment.

- Must be able to lift 50 pounds to the waist and 25 pounds to the shoulder.
