The Opportunity

A unique opportunity exists for an experienced Business Intelligence Analyst to join our Manufacturing Insights team.

Reporting to the Manufacturing Insights Manager, you will be responsible for capturing and analysing critical manufacturing data, and consulting with all verticals within the Cochlear Manufacturing network to enable effective decision making.

You will be joining a collaborative and tightly knit team; and play a meaningful role in helping Cochlear achieve our mission of helping people across the world to hear and be heard.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Capturing, analysing and presenting data to manufacturing teams to enable effective and efficient decision making
  • Supporting the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process by providing manufacturing inputs, labour forecasting, and capacity requirements
  • Delivering real time information to the business via scheduled and creating bespoke dashboards
  • Data management and extraction using enterprise software (eg. Oracle, OBIEE, SAP)
  • Using predictive analytical techniques to enable better decision making
  • Preparing summaries of key operational metrics that are used as a part of weekly, monthly and quarterly meetings

About You. As we grow our operations, we are looking for people who share our passion for delivering quality hearing solutions to our customers. To add value to Cochlear in this role, you'll be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:

  • Experience in data science techniques within in a manufacturing environment
  • Familiarity with building reports in Tableau, Power BI, OBIEE and/or UKG Pro WFM
  • Understanding of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP)
  • Experience in medical device or other highly regulated industry (preferred)
  • An understanding of Manufacturing KPIs, such as headcount forecasts, yield and scrap trending and OLE measurements
  • Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Computer Science, Statistics or similar fields
  • Strong analytical and detail-oriented approach to work
  • An ability to analyse large data sets with a high degree of accuracy
  • Ability to manage time effectively, set priorities and meet deadlines
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
