Our Oregon team is looking to hire a construction specific Project Engineer 3 (equivalent to a Sr. Project Engineer or Assistant Project Manager). A Cochran experienced Project Engineer (III) assists the Project Manager in coordinating, planning and organizing project operations by performing the following duties.
The following are the duties associated with being a Cochran Project Engineer . Other duties may be assigned. Items 1 through 11 are duties associated with a PE Level 1.
To perform the job of Level 2 Project Engineer successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following additional duties in addition to all of the Project Engineer Level 1 requirements. Items 8 through 11 are duties associated with a PE Level 2.
To perform the job of Level 3 Project Engineer successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following additional duties in addition to all of the Project Engineer Level 1 and Level 2 requirements.

Education/ExperienceHigh School Diploma required. Two-year college or university program certificate is a plus or two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language AbilityAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Ability to write, speak and communicate in English fluently.
Math AbilityAbility to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Reasoning AbilityAbility to apply common sense and understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer SkillsTo perform the Level 1 Project Engineer job successfully an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite; Spreadsheet software and Project Management software.
To perform the Level 2 Project Engineer job successfully, an individual should have advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Spreadsheets, Estimating; while working towards knowledge of Financial, Management and Labor Tracking software.
To perform the Level 3 Project Engineer job successfully, an individual should have advanced knowledge of all required software; Microsoft Office Suite; Spreadsheets, Estimating, Financial, Management and Labor Tracking software.
