Chemistry Laboratory Technician
Job scope: We are looking for lab technicians to support the Chemistry and Oligo-Synthesis team.
*6-month Contract-to-Hire*
Responsibilities:
- Following SOPs: Following site trainer's direction and strict safety protocols
- Receiving and sorting samples: Based on workflow and orders
- Performing synthesis: Including initiation synthesis runs, deprotection, post-synthesis processing, and QC
- Communicating with customers: In a professional manner via email
- Washing labware: Collecting and packaging biohazard waste
- Maintaining cleanliness: Helping to keep the work area clean
- Recording methods, materials, and results: In batch records according to established formats
Requirements:
- Basic understanding of hands-on Chemistry/ Bio-Chemistry experiments
- Academic background in the chemistry/ biology related disciplines
- Work experience in a Chemistry or biochemistry laboratory preferred
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Patient, attend to details and is able to follow SOPs
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, or related field
