We are currently partnered with a multi strategy fund looking to expand their portfolio finance function by bringing on an Associate to cover credit investments. The firm is known for being at the cutting edge of the quant fund space and developing strong internal talent.

In this role, you'll focus on the credit investment for a few businesses, ensuring proper funding and liquidity management. This is a high exposure role working closely with the US head of financing as well as business leaders within the funds. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of credit markets and treasury management practices within a asset manager or investment bank.

Key Responsibilities:

Funding and Liquidity Management:

• Ensure proper funding and liquidity for the credit investment businesses.
• Monitor and manage daily cash flows, funding needs, and liquidity positions.
• Develop and implement liquidity management strategies to optimize funding costs and minimize liquidity risks.

Treasury Operations:

• Oversee daily treasury operations, including cash management, funding transactions, and settlements.
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure efficient execution of funding activities.
• Maintain relationships with banking partners and other financial institutions.

Risk Management:

• Identify, assess, and mitigate liquidity and funding risks.
• Develop and maintain robust risk management frameworks and controls.
• Monitor market conditions and regulatory developments to ensure compliance and risk mitigation.

Reporting and Analysis:

• Prepare regular reports on funding and liquidity positions, risk metrics, and key performance indicators.
• Conduct detailed analysis of funding costs, liquidity trends, and market conditions.
• Provide insights and recommendations to senior management based on analytical findings.

Collaboration and Communication:

• Work closely with portfolio managers, traders, risk managers, and other stakeholders to align funding and liquidity strategies with business objectives.
• Communicate effectively with senior management and other stakeholders regarding liquidity positions, funding plans, and risk assessments.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field; advanced degree or relevant certification (e.g., CFA, FRM) preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in treasury, liquidity management, or a similar role within a multi-strategy investment fund or financial institution.
• Strong knowledge of credit markets, funding instruments, and liquidity management practices.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Proficiency in treasury management systems and financial modeling tools.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
• High attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
