Job Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join a growing client in Stamford, CT. The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of experience, with a background in public accounting, and will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial statements. CPA or CPA track is a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and execute the monthly consolidation process for multiple international entities.
- Oversee intercompany transactions and reconciliations, ensuring compliance with company policies and GAAP.
- Prepare and review consolidated financial statements and supporting schedules.
- Coordinate with international accounting teams to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Assist in the preparation of financial analysis and reports for management and stakeholders.
- Support external audits and ensure compliance with internal controls.
- Continuously improve consolidation and intercompany accounting processes and procedures.
- Stay current with accounting standards and regulatory requirements impacting consolidations and intercompany accounting.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 2-5 years of experience in public accounting.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and consolidations.
- CPA or CPA track preferred.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a global team environment.
