Responsibilities:

• Responsible for Capex procurement.
• Accountable for purchasing financial performance initiate and lead cost reduction projects.
• Internal/External customer focus to address complex issues.
• Helps to devise and implement improvement strategies to processes, procedures and project flow in Sourcing.
• Lead Purchasing team to achieve the goals of the function and align with the organization’s goals.
• Lead negotiations and contracts, collaborating with the relevant partners to optimize terms, cost and deliverables, ensuring the quality of service/ goods, and mitigating risks.
• Establish & maintain relationships with key functional managers and their teams to ensure understanding of their needs and to facilitate the appropriate level of challenge.
• Provides expert support and input to MSA, annual contract, and bid management.
• Leverage global procurement standard operating procedures, policies and file system.
• Routine review supplier performance against contracted obligations, service levels and business requirements.
• Develop and review KPIs, interview and hire staff and oversee staff training and complete performance evaluations.

Required Qualifications, Knowledge & Skills:

• A minimum of a Bachelor's degree is required for this position.
• A minimum of 10 years’ experience in Procurement.
• Knowledge of bidding procedures and criteria
• Strong leadership, vison and strategy setting, communication, influencing, collaboration, and talent development skills.
• Strong contract management and negotiations skills
• Strong Project and change management capabilities.
• Strong verbal and written communication skill with ability to expertly present sophisticated information.
• Ability to continuously improve the organization.
• Excellent computer skills with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and familiar with ERP/SAP system
• Experience in working with multi-cultural teams

Preferred Qualifications:

• GMP Biopharma manufacturing purchasing experience desirable
• Experience with contract development and execution
• Data-driven decision maker with excellent program management and organizational skills

*Candidate should be commutable to both Piscataway and East Hanover, NJ as the client in this tole will be moving to East Hanover mid 2024*
