Coda Search is partnering with $5BN asset management group with offices located in Fairfield County, CT. This a high-performing group that has shown exponential growth and are looking to hire a Senior Tax Associate. This person would partner closely with the manager and be responsible for preparing/reviewing K-1 and partnership tax returns. The Controller will also teach this person the fund accounting side where they would assist with reviewing the 3rd party administrator, preparing the NAV packages and assisting with any financial reporting.

This a high performing team that operates across a variety of different asset classes including investment partnerships, mutual funds, SMA’s and exchange traded funds.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review complex K-1s and partnership tax returns ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations
• Assist in the preparation of quarterly tax estimates
• Serve as the point on tact to external parties on an outstanding tax matters
• Assist with the monthly financial reporting process for several funds
• Calculate management fees and fund costs
• Review the 3rd party administrator and ensure accurate reporting
• Assist with any special projects

Qualifications:

• Bachelors in Accounting/Finance
• 4 years of experience
• Prior experience with K-1’s and partnerships
• Prior experience in public accounting or financial services
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
