Position: Project Manager
Location: Downtown Milwaukee, WI – Hybrid 3 days/week on site
Duration: through September 2025, with the potential to extend
The Project Manager is responsible for thoughtful execution of primarily security and infrastructure projects. This individual will work with individual project teams, vendors, and senior management to define, plan, communicate and successfully implement projects. Strong leadership skills, excellent organizational abilities, exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, and a passion for project management are critical to success in this role.
Responsibilities:
- Successfully plans and executes on multiple security and infrastructure projects at the same time
- Provides project status and risk reporting, customizing reporting and communication based on audience
- Develops a plan/roadmap to achieve project scope and goals based on budget, resources and timing
- Tracks and works to limit negatively impacting risks or changes to scope, budget and timing
- Assemble and lead the right resources with clearly defined roles and responsibilities
- Leads project execution through organized, efficient and transparent execution of project deliverables, driving toward project team accountability
- Provide consistent, timely and succinct project communication to stakeholders
- Oversee and/or ensure sufficient testing and training related to a project, as appropriate
- Collaborate with technical team and business owners to develop go-live plan, including assessing contingencies, communication and support
- Connect people and encourage collaboration
- Problem-solve, find creative solutions to help drive discussions or decisions
- Dive deep enough into the subject matter to drive and lead the project team
- Stay current on project management tools, trends and new approaches
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of project management experience, including project management of a variety of different projects such as vended system implementation, agile software implementation or upgrades
- Experience working with security or infrastructure teams a plus
- Experience with Disaster Recovery a plus
- Passionate about creating and leading high functioning, collaborative and top-quality project teams and equally as passionate about sharing that know-how with others
- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
- High level of organization with ability to multi-task and manage multiple initiatives at the same time
- Proven track record of developing and communicating realistic project plans/ roadmaps
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to coordinate and collaborate with both associates and senior level resources
- Keen interest in overcoming challenges through process and technology
- Excellent analytic and problem-solving skills
- Ability to understand basic technical and business concepts related to projects
- Ability to identify risks or issues and escalate appropriately and timely
- Ability to interact effectively with peers in a fast-paced environment under aggressive deadlines
- Experience with JIRA, TestRail, Confluence and Clarity a plus
