Job Description
As a Research Associate at Codify Therapeutics, you will play an important role in our growing organization, supporting R&D needs as well as laboratory administration and organization. This position offers a unique opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional teams and be a part of the early scientific team building a new and exciting therapeutic modality. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a desire to learn, attention to detail, ability to work efficiently, productively, and collaboratively, and be adaptable and able to thrive in a dynamic, small team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Execute tissue culture-based experiments, including maintaining, banking, transfecting, and engineering mammalian cell lines, among others
Support the execution of cell-based experiments with the opportunity to learn flow cytometry, fluorescent imaging, luminescence assays, and viability assays
Support the in vitro pharmacology assays for an advancing preclinical project
Perform standard DNA-, RNA-, and protein-based procedures such as bacterial cloning, PCR, gel electrophoresis, extractions, and western blotting, among others
Contribute to lab administration and organization through ordering, managing inventory, preparation of buffers and reagents, autoclaving, and shipping
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree with 1-3 years of academic or industry experience
Hands-on experience with mammalian cell culture and basic molecular biology techniques highly desired
Ability to maintain clear and detailed electronic notebooks, and communicate findings internally
