Job DescriptionCoffman Engineers is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join its team. The successful candidate will be an integral part of Coffman’s accounting department. The following key elements describe the basic duties and responsibilities of this position but are not all-inclusive.
Position SummaryResponsible for accounts payable. This includes coding and completing voucher forms, entering vouchers into accounting system, doing check runs, reconciling statements and accounts, filing, administer Corporate expense reports and credit cards.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Process expense reports, both manual and through the Concour expense reporting system.
- Process and pay all company credit card expenses.
- Type manual checks and enter into accounting system.
- Match invoices to receiving documents.
- Research vendor statements, phone calls and discrepancies.
- File paid and unpaid invoices and statements.
- Reconcile Vendor accounts Monthly.
- Organize and match returns paperwork.
- Reconcile petty cash.
- Concur Invoice and Expense Administrator.
- Process 1099’s Yearly.
- Possess a thorough understanding of accounting principles and debits/credits.
- Possess a high degree of accuracy as job costing of invoices is related to client billing.
- Performs other duties as may be assigned.
- Two-year degree preferred.
- Two years of related experience.
- 10-key by touch.
- Expertise in Excel required.
- High attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment handling competing priorities
- Must be self-motivated with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
