The Finance Manager plays a pivotal role in the financial well-being of our client Parkway Plumbing, a leading plumbing company in North Royalton, OH. This position oversees all aspects of accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with regulations, and development of strategic financial plans to support company growth.
Responsibilities:
  • Manage the entire accounting function, guaranteeing adherence to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and internal controls
  • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements)
  • Develop and implement budgeting and forecasting processes to guide financial planning and inform strategic decision-making
  • Manage cash flow, including accounts payable and receivable, to optimize financial resources
  • Lead internal audit procedures to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements
  • Analyze financial data and provide insightful reports to management, supporting business growth and profitability
  • Serve as the primary contact for external auditors during annual audits
  • Manage the office staff, providing guidance and ensuring efficient processes
  • Manage all financial activities related to the union workforce, including collection and disbursement of dues, reporting to the union, collaboration with union representatives on financial matters as outlined in the contract, staying up-to-date on relevant labor laws and regulations, and assisting in budgeting and forecasting for expenses related to the union contract
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred)
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a financial controller or senior accounting role
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting principles
  • Proficient in financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting techniques
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with all levels of the organization
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
  • Proficient in accounting software (QuickBooks)
