Overview

Cognitiv has been revolutionizing the programmatic/ad tech space for the last 8 years as the only programmatic buying platform to leverage Deep Learning in real-time. We use Deep Learning (the most sophisticated machine learning) to build custom algorithms for digital marketers to help grow their customer base. We have seen explosive growth and are looking for talented people who have a passion to learn about AI and are looking to affect change in a rapidly growing organization . We are looking for a Sr. Director, Business Development to identify and harness key strategic partnerships and untapped business prospects to fuel our growth trajectory. The Sr. Director, Business Development will be instrumental in charting the course for Cognitiv’s expansion by identifying valuable partnerships. This role will be responsible for creating actionable plans to drive revenue generation outside of our core product offering through innovative thinking and a sound understanding of the ad tech ecosystem . The ideal candidate will have an established network and be boots on the ground at industry events to further existing relationships and generate new ones.

This position will be located in New York City with a hybrid work schedule of 3 days in office (Mon/Tue/Wed) and 2 days remote (Thursday/Friday).

Responsibilities

  • Proven track record and success in conceptualizing and executing deep, strategic partnerships in ad tech/programmatic
  • Identify key strategic partners and new business opportunities and create actionable plans to capitalize on them
  • Conduct market research and analysis to stay abreast of industry trends and competitive landscapes
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with key prospects, stakeholders, and industry leaders
  • Negotiate and structure partnership agreements to maximize mutual benefit and drive revenue growth
  • Attend industry conferences and networking events to generate new leads
  • Leverage current network to generate business development opportunities
  • Advocate for Cognitiv with future partners and work closely with our product team to guide successful product integration with Cognitiv’s platforms
  • Lead the negotiation and closure of strategic deals, contracts, and partnerships that drive against business goals, fuel revenue generation and contribute to Cognitiv’s growth.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and seamless execution of BD initiatives.
  • Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics to identify potential risks and opportunities, adapting the business development strategy accordingly
  • Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of partners and opportunities
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to the broader team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and professional growth.
  • Meeting quarterly revenue sales targets

Requirements

  • 8 years of business development or sales experience in marketing, ad tech, and advertising research
  • Experience selling into media, marketing, and insight leaders in various verticals
  • Revenue growth driving experience and experience bringing new products to market
  • The ability to build strong consultative relationships with clients
  • Must be a self-starter

Salary

  • $190,000-$210,000 Base Salary Equity

Actual compensation is based on multiple factors that are unique to each candidate, including and not limited to job-related knowledge, level of relevant experience, education and skills.
