App security architect

Location: Dallas, TX

Job summary: We are seeking an experienced App Security Architect (Manager - Projects) to lead our efforts in securing our applications and ensuring the integrity of our user data. With a focus on OKTA, OKTA IDaaS, SSO Implementation, Azure MFA, and Microsoft MFA, the ideal candidate will have a proven track record in designing and implementing robust security architectures. This role requires a strategic problem solver who can balance security needs with business requirements.

Roles & Responsibilities

* Lead the development and implementation of application security strategies to enhance the security posture of our applications.

* Design and supervise the integration of OKTA IDaaS solutions to ensure secure identity management and access control.

* Implement Single Sign-On (SSO) solutions to streamline user access while maintaining high security standards.

* Configure and handle Azure MFA and Microsoft MFA to fortify multi-factor authentication processes.

* Conduct security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and recommend remediation strategies.

* Collaborate with development teams to incorporate security standard methodologies in the software development lifecycle.

* Keep abreast of emerging security threats and technologies to ensure our security architecture remains resilient.

* Provide expert mentorship on application security to project teams and collaborators.

* Develop and maintain security documentation, including architecture designs, policies, and procedures.

* Facilitate security training and awareness programs to cultivate a security-conscious culture within the organization.

Qualifications

* Must have a minimum of 8 years of experience in application security, with a solid focus on OKTA, OKTA IDaaS, SSO Implementation, Azure MFA, and Microsoft MFA.

* Proven expertise in designing and implementing security solutions for large-scale applications.

* Solid understanding of identity and access management principles and technologies.

* Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

* Effective communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex security concepts to non-technical collaborators.

* A relevant certification in application security or related field is helpful.

Certification(s) Required

• CERTIFIED INFORMATION SYSTEMS SECURITY PROFESSIONAL (CISSP) OR EQUIVALENT.

Salary and Other Compensation

Applications will be accepted until 5th June 2024.

The annual salary for this position is between $110,000 to $124,000 depending on the experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and is subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
