Java and Angular Developer

Cognizant Digital Engineering practice is looking to hire a motivated and energetic Java and Angular Developer.

Location: McLean, VA or New York City (candidates must currently reside within a commutable distance to McLean or NYC- no remote work or relocation is feasible for this position)

Day-To-Day Responsibilities:

* Extensive hands-on in Web UI development using Angular, JavaScript, and backend Node JS and unit testing framework Jasmine and Karma

* Cloud experience - AWS (FARGATE, ECS, EC2, S3, R53, RDS, IAM, LAMBDA, VPC)

* Good to have java programming and webservice development experience.

* Utilize programming languages like Node.js, Angular. Open Source RDBMS and NoSQL databases, Container Orchestration services including Docker and Kubernetes, and a variety of AWS tools and services

* Collaborate with and across Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement, and support technical solutions in full-stack development tools and technologies

* Share your passion for staying on top of tech trends, experimenting with and learning new technologies, participating in internal & external technology communities, mentoring other members of the engineering community.

* Collaborate with digital product managers and deliver robust cloud-based solutions that drive powerful experiences to help millions of People achieve financial empowerment.

* Effective Client communication

* Should be able to work on both Frontend and Backend technologies like AngularJS and NodeJS

Key Qualifications:

* Overall software development experience is 7

* 6 years of hands-on AngularJS development experience and 2 years of working experience with AngularJS 11

* Experience in writing unit tests using Jasmine and Karma

* 4 years hands on experience on AWS ECS, EC2, Lambda, S3 and SQS

* Experience in Agile practices.

* Must be analytical, good team player and self-motivated

Preferred:

* Experience in Financial Domain.

* Handson experience in Node.js, REST API, 12-factor microservice principles.

* Experience in writing Node JS unit tests using Jest, Mocha

* Handson experience in Java

* Experience in writing unit tests Junit, Mockito

* Hands on experience in Jquery, Jscript

* Hands on experience/Knowledge in AWS Fargate
