Network Engineer

This position is on-site/hybrid with 50% travel as needed between Chappaqua, New York and Middletown, New York. A qualified applicant must be local to this area!

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Design and implement network infrastructure based on organizational requirements.
• Configuring and maintaining Cisco based networking products, F5 load balancing, and Palo Alto and Checkpoint firewalls.
• Maintain network hardware and software for seamless connectivity.
• Ensure network reliability and performance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve network issues.
• Collaborate with other IT professionals to develop and implement network security measures.
• Conduct regular network maintenance and updates.
• Document network configurations, processes, and procedures.
• Provide network engineering support and training to other team members.

Position Qualifications:

• 5 years of experience configuring Cisco networking technologies and F5 load balancing.
• 3 years of experience configuring and maintaining Palo Alto and Checkpoint firewalls.
• Relevant certifications, such as Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP).
• Knowledge of network protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP.
• Experience with network hardware (routers, switches, and firewalls)
• Familiarity with network monitoring and management tools.

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between [$52,000] - [$120,000] depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and is subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
