Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Test Automation Engineer with a strong background in testing Python applications, web APIs, and web apps using Selenium and who is accustomed to dealing with weekly releases and adapting features that are not always user-ready but still require some testing. In this role as an Individual Contributor, you will ensure the quality of our AI orchestration software products by designing, developing and executing comprehensive automated tests. You will be a creative force aimed at transitioning manual tests to automated systems and will work as an individual contributor, managing tasks and driving projects with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive tests plans and test cases for Python applications and web apps using Selenium.
  • Ownership of testing of new features in order to turn initially manual tests into automated brilliance.
  • Collaborate with developers, product owners, and other team members to ensure that our products meet the highest quality standards.
  • Proactively identify, report and track defects to resolution.
  • Provide constructive feedback and recommendations to improve the overall quality of our products.
  • Continuously enhance our testing process and tools to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Contribute positively to an ego-free work environment where honest and healthy collaboration is paramount and practiced consistently every hour of every day.

Requirements:

  • Testing is your thing
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in test automation.
  • You prefer frequent check-ins, bouncing your test automation ideas off other members of the QA the team
  • Experience having brought up an automated test environment for a new product from scratch.
  • Excellence, proactivity, and precision in communication and collaboration.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong experience with testing Python applications.
  • Strong experience with web apps using Selenium Python and Selenium IDE.
  • Experience with augmenting CI/CD pipelines.
  • Understanding of how to use JavaScript for testing web apps.
  • Home is a Linux/shell-oriented development environment.
  • Experience with testing web APIs and databases is a plus.
  • Testing of AI and/or randomized processes is a plus.

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $[170,000 - 182,000] depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program and stock options, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
