Sr. NodeJS Developer (Hybrid)

Our practice is seeking a highly qualified Senior NodeJS Developer with experience developing and building impactful, scalable, enterprise applications. Location: Richmond - VA, Mclean - VA and New York - NY (Hybrid)

Responsibilities

* Extensive hands on in backend end WebServices / RestAPI development using Node.js and Java.
* Experience in UI development using Angular, JavaScript and unit testing framework Jasmine and Karma.
* Cloud experience - AWS (ECS, LAMBDA, FARGATE) is must and experience in working AWS EC2, S3, R53, RDS, IAM.
* Use programming languages like Node.js, Java, Angular. Open Source RDBMS and NoSQL databases, Container Orchestration services including Docker and Kubernetes, and a variety of AWS tools and services.
* Collaborate with and across Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement, and support technical solutions in full-stack development tools and technologies.
* Learn new technologies, participating in internal & external technology communities, mentoring other members of the engineering community.
* Collaborate with digital product managers and deliver robust cloud-based solutions that drive powerful experiences to help millions of People achieve financial empowerment.
* Leverage jQuery to handling inputs and outputs from database.
* Effective Client communication.
* Should be able to work on both Backend and Frontend technologies like NodeJS and AngularJS.

Qualifications

Must have:
* Overall software development experience is 7
* 6 years of hands-on experience in Node.js, REST API, 12-factor microservice principles.
* 3 years writing NodeJS using Jest and Mocha, jQuery, Jscript, AWS ECS, EC2, Lambda, S3 and SQS.
* 2 years with Node.js V10 version and handling database using NodeJS.
* Experience in Agile practices.

Preferred:
* Financial Domain.
* Experience working with AngularJS 11 , Java and writing unit tests using Jasmine, Karma, Junit, Mockito.
* People management experience.
* Must be analytical, great teammate and self-motivated.
* Knowledge in AWS Fargate.

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $52K - $146K depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
