The Role:

Cognizant seeks to hire a CBRS Lead our IoT Practice. The IoT Practice provides Product Engineering best practice/standards development, deployment, management, and operational support across the communications, media and technology industry. The ideal candidate will have the following experience and qualifications below. This is an excellent opportunity for career progression within this expanding global team.

Experience:

· 15 years of experience in working with RAN & Core Network, CBRS

· Sound knowledge on Cloud Computing technologies/SDN-NFV

· Good hands-on experience and working knowledge of CBRS and SAS (Spectrum Controller)

· Experience and SME in 5G/LTE, both EPC, 5-GC, RAN and edge computing

· Well versed with e2e test setup components/test equipment including GNB, UE, Core-Network, Test emulators etc.

· Experience with virtual application deployment and Orchestration

· Knowledge of 3GPP specifications (mainly RAN) & wireless architectures

· Experience in ETSI SOL compliance, Day 0/1/2 automation, Ansible Playbook

· Lead the orchestration of software architecture, defining the structure and components of complex systems

· Knowledge of concepts such as: RSSI, RF Modulation, RADIUS, MCS Chart, 802.11x, Channel-Width, Channel Sizing, SNR, FCAPS (Netconf, TR069, SNMPv3) or Layer 3 (RRC/CU)

· Proficient with version control systems like Git for managing code repositories and collaboration with other developers

· Knowledge of protocol analysis tools such as IrisView, NetScout and Wireshark

· Should be able to conduct/review network testing to ensure the CBRS RAN solution is performing optimally and meeting performance expectations

· Experience in building DevOps Pipeline (eg: Jenkins) , Automation

Qualifications

· Ability to adapt to evolving technologies and software requirements of Virtualization (VNF/CNF)

· Experience with RF propagation modeling, spectrum analysis, and network performance optimization

· Awareness of security best practices, as network devices need to be secure. This includes understanding encryption, authentication, and network security

· Experience in 5G RAN- Core integration will be added advantage

· Analyze/Design Resource Orchestration system requirements based on standards (5G/ONAP) and product features

· Certification in Linux, OpenStack, Ansible, Kubernetes, Cloud Security or equivalent
