Java Developer - Remote

We are seeking a highly skilled Java Developer with a strong background in Angular JS high-quality and high-performance digital solutions. With a focus on Spring Boot, Java , Spring Batch the ideal candidate will contribute to the development of innovative projects improving our technical capabilities and driving forward our mission to deliver outstanding service to our clients.

Location: Plano, TX or Remote

Roles/Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain high-quality software applications using Node.js.
• Collaborate with multi-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code to meet project requirements.
• Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality and alignment to standard processes.
• Solve and debug applications to optimize performance and resolve issues.
• Implement security and data protection measures in software applications.
• Participate in the entire software development lifecycle, from planning to deployment.
• Work closely with product managers to understand user requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Continuously improve software engineering practices and processes.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure the software remains current and competitive.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to ensure smooth deployment and operation of applications.
• Contribute to the documentation of software designs, code, and processes

Required Qualifications

• Possess a strong proficiency in Node.js with a proven track record of developing scalable applications.
• Have experience with MySQL and JavaScript, demonstrating the ability to work with relational databases and front-end technologies.
• Show familiarity with Java, Angular JS, SQL, and AWS, which are considered advantageous.
• Demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Exhibit strong communication and teamwork abilities to collaborate effectively with various partners.
• Display a proactive attitude towards learning and adopting new technologies.
• Have domain experience in Payer, which is considered a plus
• Experience in the Payer domain is a plus

The annual salary for this position is between $68,422 – $114,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
