Cognizant is seeking a VMWare/ Open Shift IT Infrastructure Engineer for a remote opportunity. The candidate can be located anywhere in the United States of America and must have valid work authorization.

The annual salary for this role would be between $110,000 to $130000 depending on experience and qualifications of the candidate.

Responsibilities:

· Develop and maintain tools for collecting, analyzing, and visualizing data for reporting, alerting, monitoring.

· Collaborate with leadership team, senior engineers, program managers, and product managers to develop compelling IT products and services that meet customer needs.

· Plan and work on Capacity deployment on RedHat OpenShift & VMware

· Provide solution to INC and tasks as per agreed SLA with business.

· Perform daily routine health checks to ensure device availability.

· Action Alerts received from Monitoring and PagerDuty

· Other tasks not limited on Windows/VMware/RedHat OpenShift

o Disk expansion / delete partition / create partition using existing automation.

o CPU / memory utilization (Performance issue on server)

o Move Objects in Active Directory Organization unit (OU), AD related tasks.

o Working on Tools like Tools – Windbg / RDP / Monitoring tool / Ticketing Tool / etc.

o Create / deploy VM using the available automation ITSS.

o Taking snapshot / Revert snapshot / consolidate snapshot / delete snapshot of VM on VMware & RedHat OpenShift.

o Increase resources (CPU/Mem/NIC) on VM VMware & RedHat OpenShift.

Qualifications:

· BS or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology or equivalent.

· Must have L3/L4 level expertise in VMware, managing capacity planning, migrations, architectural planning, and operational issue resolution.

· Demonstrate L3/L4 level knowledge in OpenShift, managing capacity planning, migrations, architectural planning, and operational issue resolution.

· Knowledge of Linux and Python is a bonus.
