Job Title: Cloud Governance and DevOps Engineer

Job Responsibilities

• Implement data governance workflows like GDPR and processes, ensuring efficient data governance operations across the organization.

• Develops and deploys data governance framework/standards consisting of data policies and processes in the areas of data ingestion, data movement, data quality, master & reference data and data life cycle management.

• Conduct data masking, data profiling, data auditing, data quality assessments, and data lineage analysis using tools to identify data issues and develop remediation strategies.

• Enforce data practices as per changing regulatory policies to meet compliance requirements from time to time.

• Provide support to business stakeholders, data stewards, and data owners on the effective use of tools for data governance activities.

• Stay updated on the latest trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in data governance, and proactively recommend enhancements and improvements.

• Should have worked in a vigorous agile environment.

• Experience in working with the team on Data Governance topics.

• Take ownership of the implementation of data governance solutions, development and support operations utilizing market-leading MDM, Data Quality, Data Cataloguing & Data Governance solutions.

• Define Controls, both financial and operational. limiting the number of cloud instances used and deciding who has clearance to make changes to the cloud computing environment.

• Implement Controls as per the policy document. Communicate with teams and employees and optionally use third-party tools to help implement controls.

• Audit Controls: Continuously monitor controls to make sure you are doing all the right things the right way and monitoring them the right way.

Technical Skills

• Knowledge of programming languages (e.g. Java and Python)

• Proficient in SQL, Database Management activities.

• Proficient in AWS RDS / S3 / Amazon Redshift / Apache Spark / Athena / Glue

• Implement end-to-end data governance solutions, focusing on the implementation of Data Governance tools (Collibra/Atlan) to meet the organization's data governance objectives and requirements.

• Experience with big data technologies like Hadoop, Spark, and Kafka

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities

Experience

Minimum 7 years of experience in data management, data governance, or data security roles.
