About the Job

We are helping a multi billion dollar Chemical Manufacturing company hire for a Maintenance I&E Superintendent/Engineer for their Maintenance team in Baton Rouge, LA.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise the daily operations of the Instrument and Electrical Maintenance team
• Develop and manage daily and weekly work schedules, turnaround, and routine outages for I&E
• Promote and uphold a safety-first mindset
• Handle emergency work and address plant vulnerabilities
• Facilitate communication across site teams and support other departments as needed
• Lead or participate in incident investigations
• Ensure compliance with SIS testing, environmental analyzers, PMs, MOCs, PSM corrective actions, and other responsibilities
• Manage cost targets, including yearly budgets, overtime, contract bids, and change orders

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
• Minimum 7 years of I&E Maintenance experience in the chemical or related industry, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
• Knowledge of industry codes and standards such as NFPA 70E, NFPA 70B, ISA 81, ISA 61511, and NETA preferred
• Analytical and control systems experience preferred
