OVERVIEW OF OUR INTERNSHIP PROGRAM:

Fortune-Johnson recognizes the importance of creating and establishing a robust internship program. The goal of Fortune-Johnson’s internship program is to provide college or trade school students the opportunity to receive hands on relevant experience to support their education and prepare them for a career in construction.

CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT INTERN RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform regularly scheduled jobsite safety audits
• Read and become familiar with contract documents, shop drawing processes, and blueprints
• Process requests for information (RFI) and submittals
• Log change orders and revisions
• Maintain Owner/Architect/Contractor meeting minutes
• Gather, calculate, and compile data for conceptual estimates
• Assist estimator with reviewing and leveling subcontractor quotes for project estimates
• Other duties if required by a formal university-sponsored internship program

REQUIREMENTS

• Currently enrolled degree seeking college student, 18 months (3 semesters) or less from graduation.
• College Degree Major: Construction Management, Engineering, or related discipline.
