Job Summary
- Transport heavy equipment to and from project sites for road construction.
Main Responsibilities
- Move heavy equipment efficiently and safely.
- Operation of equipment for loading and unloading from lowboy safely.
- Properly secure load according to DOT regulations.
- Safety for yourself, co-workers and the traveling public.
- Maintain an excellent driving record by falling all laws under the DOT, FMCSA, State and Federal governments.
- Daily inspections
- Reporting any maintenance or repair needs immediately.
Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
- CDL Class A
Skills
- Knowledge of construction equipment.
- Capable of operating various types of equipment.
- Knowledge of the operation of a lowboy trailer.
- Flatbed / lowboy experience.
- Work independently and efficiently.
- Safety oriented.
- Solid understanding of DOT Regulations
- Organization skills with the ability to prioritize.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work various shifts and long hires at times.
- Safely climb in and out of equipment.
- Some heavy lifting.
- Able to meet DOT guidelines for securing loads.
- Adaptable to changing weather conditions.
