Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Modeling Specialist to join our team and contribute to our mission of empowering organizations in the financial industry with comprehensive data analysis solutions. As a Data Modeling Specialist, you will be responsible for designing and maintaining efficient databases, utilizing advanced data modeling tools. Your expertise in SQL coding and Python will be critical in extracting, transforming, and analyzing large volumes of financial data, delivering valuable insights to our clients. Your deep understanding of the financial industry will enable you to navigate complex data structures, terminologies, and regulatory requirements effectively.

Responsibilities:

• Utilize advanced data modeling tools to design and maintain efficient databases that meet the organization's data requirements.
• Collaborate with the team to understand data modeling needs and provide input on database schema design and optimization.
• Ensure data integrity and accuracy through effective data modeling techniques.
• Write advanced SQL queries to extract, transform, and analyze large volumes of financial data from various sources.
• Optimize SQL queries for performance and efficiency, ensuring timely delivery of accurate results.
• Collaborate with data engineers to ensure seamless integration of data models into the database architecture.
• Utilize Python programming language to manipulate, process, and analyze financial data efficiently.
• Develop scripts and workflows to automate data-related tasks, such as data extraction, cleansing, and transformation.
• Leverage Python's capabilities in API-driven environments for seamless data integration.
• Apply extensive knowledge of the financial industry to understand complex financial data structures, terminologies, and regulatory requirements.
• Stay up to date with industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory changes to provide relevant insights and recommendations.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their data modeling requirements and ensure alignment with industry best practices.
• Conduct data profiling and data quality assessments to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency of financial data.
• Identify and resolve data quality issues, ensuring data integrity throughout the data modeling process.
• Implement data governance practices to maintain high standards of data quality and compliance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, data engineers, and data scientists, to gather requirements and understand business objectives.
• Work closely with stakeholders to define data modeling needs and translate them into actionable solutions.
• Effectively communicate complex data modeling concepts and findings to non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience and expertise in utilizing data modeling tools to design and maintain databases.
• Strong proficiency in writing SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
• Advanced skills in Python programming language, specifically for data manipulation and integration.
• Extensive knowledge and understanding of the financial industry, including data structures, regulations, and terminologies.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills to effectively convey complex data modeling concepts and findings to non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Data Science, or Finance.
