Title: Platform Engineer

Location: Denver, CO (Hybrid - 4 days in office, Friday remote)

Salary: $100K - $150K Base

Position Type: Permanent, Direct Hire

Our client is a global leader in connected TV (CTV) and cross-screen advertising. We are seeking a talented Platform Engineer to join their team and contribute to their mission of revolutionizing the advertising industry.

Responsibilities:

• Implement and maintain DevOps practices, security measures to enhance the efficiency, reliability, and security of our systems and applications.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to streamline the software development lifecycle.
• Implement and maintain continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Conduct security assessments and vulnerability scans to identify and address potential security risks.
• Set up and maintain monitoring systems to proactively identify and address potential issues.
• Collaborate with the incident response team to promptly address and mitigate security incidents.
• Lead efforts in implementing and maintaining SOC 2 compliance measures.
• Foster collaboration between development, operations, and security teams.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of DevOps processes, security measures, and SOC 2 compliance efforts.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Hands-on experience in Platform Engineering, DevOps, and Security roles.
• Expert proficiency in Linux.
• Proficiency in Lunix system administration and command-line operations.
• Solid understanding of Linux-based server environments and distributions.
• Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, and Shell scripting on Linux platforms.
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) on Linux systems.
• Experience with automation tools and frameworks in a Linux environment.
• Expert proficiency in Hadoop.
• Experience in configuring and managing security features within the Hadoop ecosystem.
• Knowledge of authentication and authorization mechanisms for HDFS, including Kerberos-based authentication.
• Understanding of identity management protocols and standards (e.g., OAuth, SAML).
• Proficiency in implementing Single Sign-On (SSO) solutions for secure user authentication.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's degree
• Relevant certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)
