Position: QA Engineer Lead

Work Hours: 40hrs a week

Duration: 12 months

Location: Phoenix AZ

About the Role:

• In this role, you will be pivotal in building and leading a high-performing QA team from the ground up.
• Our current team is struggling with testing bandwidth, and we need someone to come in and define a comprehensive testing strategy and plan.

Responsibilities:

• Define the testing approach for the Rules Engine, encompassing UI, Backend, and Execution testing.
• Select and implement appropriate testing tools based on project needs.
• Develop and maintain test plans and test cases.
• Identify and document software defects.
• Collaborate with Development and Product teams to ensure clear communication and early defect identification.
• Lead and mentor the QA team, providing coaching and guidance.
• Stay up-to-date on the latest QA methodologies and tools.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-up, Sprint Review, Retrospective).
• Drive continuous improvement in the testing process.
• Ensure adherence to quality standards and best practices.
• Education Qualification: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Required Skills:

• Minimum 7 years of experience in software QA, with at least 2 years in a lead role.
• Experience in testing financial applications is a plus.
• Strong understanding of agile methodologies (Scrum preferred).
• Experience with Java and JVM environments.
• Proven ability to define, develop, and implement test strategies, test plans, and test cases.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Passion for quality and continuous improvement.
