Position: QA Engineer Lead
Work Hours: 40hrs a week
Duration: 12 months
Location: Phoenix AZ
About the Role:
- In this role, you will be pivotal in building and leading a high-performing QA team from the ground up.
- Our current team is struggling with testing bandwidth, and we need someone to come in and define a comprehensive testing strategy and plan.
- Define the testing approach for the Rules Engine, encompassing UI, Backend, and Execution testing.
- Select and implement appropriate testing tools based on project needs.
- Develop and maintain test plans and test cases.
- Identify and document software defects.
- Collaborate with Development and Product teams to ensure clear communication and early defect identification.
- Lead and mentor the QA team, providing coaching and guidance.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest QA methodologies and tools.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-up, Sprint Review, Retrospective).
- Drive continuous improvement in the testing process.
- Ensure adherence to quality standards and best practices.
- Education Qualification: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum 7 years of experience in software QA, with at least 2 years in a lead role.
- Experience in testing financial applications is a plus.
- Strong understanding of agile methodologies (Scrum preferred).
- Experience with Java and JVM environments.
- Proven ability to define, develop, and implement test strategies, test plans, and test cases.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Passion for quality and continuous improvement.
