Our client is a global leader in connected TV (CTV) and cross-screen advertising. They pride themselves on delivering state-of-the-art advertising solutions that integrate seamlessly with today's ever-evolving digital media landscape.
We are seeking an experienced Sr. Engineering manager, SSP with expertise in Supply-Side Platforms (SSP) and strong technical knowledge, particularly in Golang and JavaScript (NodeJS). The successful candidate will manage a team of managers and software engineers, overseeing the SSP Portal and Billing Web Application, as well as optimizing processes for minimal latency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a team of 5-10 Managers and Software Engineers, providing technical guidance and support.
- Manage the Supply-Side Platform (SSP) Portal and Billing Web Application, ensuring efficient performance and scalability.
- Oversee the converter that processes SSP requests, handling the decision-making process for ad placements.
- Ensure latency is kept under 200 milliseconds to maintain optimal performance.
- Collaborate with stakeholders on infrastructure management as the team transitions to cloud services.
- Drive the implementation of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions, utilizing tools such as Terraform or Pulumi.
- Stay hands-on with technical aspects, maintaining deep technical knowledge without actively coding.
Must-Have Qualifications:
- Proven experience in Supply-Side Platform (SSP) management.
- Leadership experience in managing or leading teams of software engineers.
- Proficiency in Golang and JavaScript, particularly with NodeJS.
- Strong understanding of infrastructure management and building Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related STEM discipline.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with cloud infrastructure management and deployment.
- Familiarity with ADP systems and optimizing waterfall processes for decision-making in ad tech.
