Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Church Secretary to join our team and support the administrative functions of our church. The ideal candidate is a born-again believer and will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the church office, handling various clerical tasks, and providing exceptional ministerial support to our congregation.

Duties:
- Manage the church office by organizing and maintaining files, records, and documents
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries with professionalism and courtesy
- Assist with scheduling appointments, meetings, and events for church activities
- Provide administrative support to clergy members and church staff as needed
- Type and transcribe documents such as letters, memos, and reports accurately
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and handle it with discretion
- Manage the church accounting matters such as writing checks, paying bills, inputting information into appropriate programs, etc.

Qualifications:
- Proven experience in an organizational or clerical role
- Excellent phone etiquette skills with the ability to communicate effectively
- Familiarity with office procedures and equipment
- Strong computer literacy with proficiency in MS Office applications
- Ability to transcribe accurately and efficiently
