Overview

We are looking for a competent Part-Time Photographer/Videographer who is responsible for covering golf events through photography and videography to share with our College Golf Network media team via communications lines. Heavy Travel is required for this position.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all images meet high standards of quality and align with CGN’s look and feel.

• Photograph content for editorial pieces.

• Shoot and edit short videos for social media and email.

• Collaborate with the CGN Marketing and Communications team on concepts and execution of ideas.

• Meet with CGN staff to discuss and plan photography sessions.

• Engage members at events and other photography sessions.

• Upload images to the CGN photo albums.

• Maintain equipment and photography archive.

• Provide practical and creative input to planning

• Shoot scenes according to requirements

• Capture quality footage from a fixed or moving position

• Resolve technical or practical issues

• Edit footage as needed

• Undertake errands as assigned

Requirements and skills

• Experience with Photography and Videography.

• Must be well-versed with DSLR cameras.

• Experience with editing software, such as Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop and Premiere.

• Ability to work independently without supervision.

• Ability to be on feet for up to 80% of the prescribed shift.

• Ability to lift 20 pounds, able to stand, bend, stoop, twist and turn for prolonged periods of time.

• The position will require working inside and outside various times of the year and may require prolonged exposure to sunlight.

• Experience operating relevant equipment (cameras, tripods, etc.)

• Ability to understand and follow players in a golf setting

• Excellent communication skills

• Ability to think and act decisively 

• Attention to detail

• Physical strength to carry heavy equipment and stamina

• Excellent color vision and hearing

• Degree in film, production, media or relevant field is a plus

• Proven experience as production assistant or a passion for the industry

• Knowledge of terminology 

• Computer savvy

• Excellent organizational and multi-tasking ability

• Resourcefulness and problem-solving

• A team player with great communication skills

• Physical strength and stamina

• A valid driver’s license

• Work in a variety of weather conditions
