College Hospital is a non-profit organization that provides mental health and substance abuse treatment to individuals in Cerritos, CA. We are seeking 2 per diem Receptionist to join our team in our Cerritos, CA location. Our Receptionist will answer all incoming and in-house calls, greet all visitors, issue name tags, metering all hospital mail, act as a communications center for the Hospital. Handles all of the above responsibilities in a professional and courteous manner.

Shifts:

1 per diem M-F 7am-330pm.
1 per diem M-F 730am-4pm.

Job Duties:

• Effectively carries out all Communications procedures.
• Appropriately handles stuffing of mail and weighs and places correct postage on outgoing mail.
• Accurately handles and accounts for postage money.
• Notifies Lead Receptionist when additional postage money is needed for the meter in a timely manner.
• Courteously greets all visitors, issues name tags and has each individual sign the confidentiality statement in the visitor log binder.
• Notifies Admitting immediately for new admissions.
• Handles codes and emergencies efficiently and calmly.
• Reports pertinent information relating to the switchboard to on-coming shift/personnel.
• Notifies department heads and Medical Professional Staff of appointments in a timely manner.
• Effectively performs additional duties and responsibilities as position requires.

Experience:

• Previous switchboard experience preferred.
• Light typing and numerical ability are required.
• Ability to prioritize and handle several tasks at the same time.
• Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, professional image and demeanor.

Pay: $16.00 - $21.70 per hour
