Summary Full-time teaching opportunities available in a faith based program at the College Park Child Development Center. We have been in continuous operation since 1948 serving children infants through pre-k in the College Park and Orlando area. Coordinate and implement educational curriculum by developing classroom activities based on developmentally appropriate practices and early learning standards
Lead by example; encourage teaching team success through modeling and coaching.
Plan individual and group age-appropriate activities to actively engage children and encourage social, cognitive and emotional growth.
Maintain frequent communications with parents through informal discussions, progress reports, and parent-teacher conferences.
Ensure all center policies and state regulations are met.
Ensure a healthy classroom environment - including maintaining appropriate hygiene and cleanliness standards and safety and security of children.
Supervise teacher assistants and classroom volunteers to ensure they are following planned activities, hygiene and safety standards.
Maintain accurate records, forms and files.
Maintain personal professional development plan to ensure continuous quality improvement.
Requirements A High School diploma or equivalent Experience working in a licensed childcare facility preferred Coursework in early childhood education or child development preferred 45 DCF Hours or actively working towards CPR/First Aid/ provided by the center The ability to meet state and/or accreditation requirements for education and experience Must be at least 18 years of age Benefits Health, dental, and life insurance Vacation after one year plus 10 paid holidays Paid Background Screening Reduced Childcare Tuition Full-Time position No Weekends Education incentives
