CCSL opened its doors in September 2013 to serve students in K-3. The school has expanded each school year and currently serves students in K-12 as of the 2022-23 school year.

Responsibilities

• Assess students referred for evaluation using appropriate testing instruments
• Write reports that reflect the results of standardized tests and observations that contain information helpful and understandable to all involved parties and that contain clear recommendations
• Evaluations will be performed within timelines established in state and federal regulations
• Therapy and consultation services will be provided to students based on the individual needs of each student and in compliance with each child s IEP or 504 Plan
• Provide services in accordance with the IEP or 504 Plan
• Participate in pre-referral, Team Meeting, Student Support Team activities and will provide professional development to school based staff as requested
• Consult with other Related Services providers, teachers and parents in order to provide effective services in a variety of settings
• Comply with state regulations concerning renewal of certifications and licenses

Requirements:

• Minimum 1 years speech therapy experience required
• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution
• Certification of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
• State license to practice Speech-Language Pathology in Massachusetts
• Experience working with school-aged children
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Completion of all required reference and criminal background checks.
