Colliers Engineering & Design is seeking a Director that will serve in a key leadership role with oversight for the Companys financial reporting, planning and data analytics, M&A/Due Diligence, working capital management, and financial best practices improvement initiatives. Serves as trusted advisor to the Chief Financial Officer supporting oversight of the financial health of the organization, providing strategic financial guidance and ensuring timely and accurate financial information.
Responsibilities: Driving force for the company strategic planning, financial reporting and analysis function.
Prepare timely, accurate and detailed reports of financial performance.
Provide hands-on support to develop budgets and forecasts for P&L, working capital, backlog and other KPIs.
Evaluate financial performance and synthesize variance drivers and potential risks and opportunities to the business.
Preparation and/or review of monthly/quarterly business reviews and shareholder presentations with Executive level commentary.
Develop advanced financial models and enhance financial dashboards to facilitate consistent operational insight into performance trends and better-informed decision making.
Assist with acquisition financial due diligence and integration of acquired companies.
Coordinate business case, ROI scenario development, and lease vs. buy analyses.
Spearhead Corporate Services budget development and variance reporting.
Partner with Accounting team for deep dives on process workflows, documentation, and risk assessments.
Ensures compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to protect the assets and integrity of the company.
May serve as finance liaison for company projects including AI, workflow automation, systems and software integration.
Training staff and management, as necessary.
Perform other duties as required.
Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance from an accredited program.
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification CFA or CMA, preferred.
8-12 years minimum experience in similar role of $100M revenue organization (AEC preferred).
2 years minimum people management experience.
Advanced Microsoft Excel/Powerpoint skills.
Strong Verbal and Written communication skills.
Data Analytics based/On-Demand Dashboard report development expertise. (eg. Power BI, Tableau, TM1, Cognos).
Exceptional analytical and critical thinking skills with demonstrated experience identifying problems and implementing solutions.
Ability to work independently and effectively troubleshoot challenges in order to deliver results on time.
Ability to read, write and understand English for purposes of comprehending written job-related communications and verbal instructions and interactions.
