Colliers Mortgage is seeking a Commercial Loan Closing Manager to lead and grow our Agency/GSE Closing team. In collaboration with senior leadership, this professional will manage a team responsible for all aspects of the closing process. They will ensure the highest standards of accuracy and efficiency are kept in service to our clients and lending partners, including review of loan documents, preparation of closing statements, and coordination of closing. They will be tasked with building strong and productive relationships with our internal origination, underwriting, and screening teams, as well as representing Colliers Mortgage to our external partners including GSEs, outside counsel, mortgage banking industry organizations, and most importantly our borrower clients, ensuring a smooth but comprehensive closing for every transaction. Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Act as a liaison between all parties related to loan closing, including the internal underwriting team, borrower, attorney, contractor, Title Company, surveyor, etc.
Work collaboratively with internal team members and provide outstanding client service to external clients from loan application through delivery
Assign and manage lender counsel relationships
Oversee all functions of the Agency Closing team including hiring, training, policies and procedures, etc.
Monitor deal fees and deposits throughout the loan process and reconcile post-closing
Adhere to internal and external policies, laws, and regulations
Prepare and issue lender commitment letters
Prepare and submit Fannie Mae C&D Commitment
Prepare lender closing statement in review with title closing statement
Coordinate all aspects of loan closing including prompt delivery of loan documentation in order to meeting closing deadlines
Work directly with the Agencies to securitize and provide post-closing documentation needed to finalize the mortgage-backed security to the investor, as applicable
Other duties as assigned
Required Education & Experience
8 years of commercial or multifamily real estate loan closing experience required
2 years of management or team leadership experience required
Expert knowledge of Agency/GSE multifamily lending programs including Fannie Mae DUS or Freddie Mac Optigo, experience with HUD lending program preferred
Familiarity with some combination of conventional, affordable housing, seniors housing, manufactured housing, or SBL closings
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
Excellent organizational skills
Ability to prioritize workload and manage several complex projects simultaneously to meet deadlines
Strong analytical and judgment skills
Ability to effectively interact at all levels of an organization
Associates degree or equivalent experience required; paralegal certificate preferred
