Collins Aerospace is looking for a talented Director of Customer Quality. As the Director of Customer Quality you will be supporting all programs within the Mission Systems Business Unit. The primary responsibilities include being the single point of contact for all quality-related issues within the portfolios, serving as the primary customer focal point for all clients in those portfolios, and coordinating with the Central Quality organization to support customer management at the Collins Aerospace level.
As the primary quality interface, you will engage with internal leadership and customer executives, ensuring effective communication and resolution of quality concerns. Leading a dedicated team across Mission Systems, you will work closely with the Product Quality organization to enhance performance and meet customer expectations. You will also prepare and present materials on behalf of Mission Systems to Collins Aerospace Enterprise Quality stake holders, demonstrating our commitment to excellence and continuous improvement. Additionally, you will facilitate the thorough vetting of all potential external quality escapes, maintaining our high standards and reliability.
What You Will Do:
  • Meeting or exceeding all Operations and portfolio goals
  • Developing and meeting budgets
  • Developing and executing strategies to support achieving 100% key customers satisfied
  • Developing Strategic and Annual operation plans
  • Ensuring compliance to Corporate Policies and Procedures, QMS, regulatory and customer requirements
  • Partnering with portfolios on strategies and improvement initiatives
  • Creating and fostering a team oriented, accountable environment
  • Travel to Collins Aerospace Quality Sites. Travel may be up to 5 days, 6 times per year.
Qualifications You Must Have:
  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 14 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 12 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 18 years of relevant experience
  • U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or granted refugee or asylee status) as defined here: https://www.ecfr.gov/current/title-22/chapter-I/subchapter-M/part-120/subpart-C/section-120.62
  • Candidate will need to possess substantial experience in customer engagement as well as a strong background in quality assurance
  • Excellent Communication Skills and Executive Presence

The salary range for this role is 171,000 USD - 343,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.
