As a Heated Elastomeric Builder, you play a crucial role in the creation and assembly of advanced rubber heating products. Your expertise in using rollers, scissors, soldering, and crimping equipment ensures the highest quality and precision in each product. The process begins with meticulously reading and interpreting blueprint drawings, specifications, and manufacturing work instructions to accurately determine materials requirements and assembly procedures.

What You Will Do:

  • Precision Assembly: Build various elastane parts using templates and detailed manufacturing instructions, ensuring each piece meets precise specifications.
  • Chemical Mixing: Accurately calculate and mix various chemicals required during the build process to achieve optimal product performance.
  • Work Order Interpretation: Read and interpret work orders and instructions to determine work assignments, process specifications, and production schedules, ensuring smooth and efficient production.
  • Quality Control: Identify and repair any inconsistencies in the products, maintaining the highest quality standards throughout the build process.
  • Sample Production: Build necessary samples and deliver them to the lab for testing, contributing to continuous improvement and product innovation.
  • Product Cleaning: Clean products using solvents and cloths, and responsibly manage hazardous waste by emptying personal containers into larger receptacles.
  • Autoclave Management: Arrange parts on carts for autoclave processing, monitor operations to detect deviations, and adjust controls to ensure adherence to specifications.
  • Documentation: Record gauge readings, test results, and shift production details in logbooks for accurate tracking and reporting.
  • Communication: Effectively communicate with supervisors and other equipment operators to report malfunctions or resolve production issues.
  • Material Handling: Transport materials and products to and from work areas using carts, hand trucks, hoists, and forklifts, ensuring efficient workflow.
  • Defect Identification: Ensure product defects are promptly identified and marked for correction.
  • Versatility: Complete other duties as assigned, showcasing your adaptability and willingness to support the team in various capacities.

Qualifications We Require:

  • A minimum education requirement of High School Diploma or GED is required for consideration for this role or experience in a role with similar responsibilities
  • Have experience reading blueprints and specification sheets
  • Proficient in using tools such as rollers, scissors, soldering and crimping equipment
  • Must be willing to get certified to operate a cranes and hoists
  • Must have the ability to work any shifts and overtime including weekends
