We’re seeking a Quality Engineer II to join our dynamic team, where you'll play a crucial role in the manufacture and delivery of cutting-edge aircraft technology. As a key player in our organization, you will contribute to some of the most advanced and highly utilized aircraft systems for major industry leaders like Boeing and Airbus.
In this role, you’ll lead impactful projects and drive quality across various domains, from development and modifications to applications and control systems. Your expertise will directly influence our quality evaluations and protocols, making a significant and visible impact on our mission to deliver excellence in aviation. This position will be located onsite in Foley, AL, a short drive from Gulf Shores, AL, and Pensacola Beach, FL.
The schedule for this position is Monday – Friday from 6:30am – 3:30pm
What YOU Will Do
  • You will analyze quality data and drive continuous improvement initiatives to support reduction in DPU, concessions, internal/external escapes, and scrap using RCCA and Continuous Improvement Tools
  • You will drive Quality Clinics to support defect reductions in Electrical.
  • You will be responsible for control of NCM; writing IPUs, QNs, Quality Alerts; dispositioning NCM and driving investigations.
  • You will determine and develop quality improvement opportunities by identifying statistical methods relevant to manufacturing processes.
  • You will fully support Quality Improvement projects/events as either a leader, co-leader, or supporting team member
  • You will ensure that projects and process control documentation are compliant with requirements, objectives and/or contracts
  • You will support internal, customer, and third-party audits.
  • You will drive robust preventive actions and application of mistake proofing into production and quality processes.
  • You will review product FAI Routing; support FAI part inspections and FAIR creation; responsible for FAIR review and buy-off.
  • You will develop standardization of Quality Assurance process improvement tools and methodologies
  • You will prepare and present reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing quality data.
  • You will interface with shop floor mechanics and support staff, multiple levels of leadership, as well as customer representatives
  • You will provide training on Quality topics to shop floor team members as required.

Education & Experience
  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field or in absence of a degree, 6 years of relevant experience
Qualifications You Must Have
  • U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or granted refugee or asylee status) as defined here: https://www.ecfr.gov/current/title-22/chapter-I/subchapter-M/part-120/subpart-C/section-120.62
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment
Skills We Value
  • Experience with 8D, 5 Whys, Root Cause Analysis, and SPC analysis.
  • Experience with Tableau, Power BI or similar data analytic software's.
  • Experience using AS9145 APQP / PPAP core elements (e.g. PFMEA, MSA, Process Flow Diagrams and Control Plans, etc.).
  • Experience with FAA 14 CFR Part 21 & 14 CFR Part 145
  • SAP or other ERP experience
  • Experience supporting ISO9001, AS9100 Quality Management System requirements (e.g. Non-Conformity Metrics Management, Risk Analysis, Audit support, etc.).
  • Manufacturing environment experience in Aerospace, automotive or other regulated industry.

The salary range for this role is 64,000 USD - 128,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
