The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

This is an onsite position in Windsor Locks, CT. Relocation may be eligible.What You Will Do:
- Plan, coordinate, and take responsibility for Quality activities supporting the design, manufacturing, and assembly of ejection seats.
- Ensure customers receive conforming material in a timely manner by executing processes, including gathering information and inputs for processing material through MRB and the Quality Clinic.
- Support First Article Inspection (FAI) activities in accordance with AS9102.
- Support compliance of special processes.
- Facilitate and investigate Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) for nonconformances.
- Review and approve engineering change orders.
- Provide support for assigned programs/customers, including Key Performance Indicator (KPI) tracking and customer-specific corrective action.
- Assist in creating root cause and corrective actions across the site.
- Drive improvements through the Corrective Action Board.
- Initiate regular internal business process assessments to measure the "health" of the business between audit cycles.
- Communicate with site and quality leadership regarding trends (metrics) and nonconformances.
- Analysis: How to provide a concise analysis of a problem or situation.
- Coordinating: How to take ownership of initiatives after determining objectives and requirements.
- Communication: How to effectively circulate information through proper channels in an accessible manner.
- Information Management: How to use various software packages to maintain and update documents and records.
- Listening: How to exhibit good listening skills.
- Relationships: How to display a compassionate attitude toward the needs of others.
- Speaking: How to use business-appropriate and professional language.
- Strategic Thinking: How to develop a firm understanding of the organization's competitive landscape.
- Writing: How to use business-appropriate language in written documents.
- Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
- Must have computer skills and be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, including GD&T
- Experience using inspection tools (micrometers, calipers, height gages, pin gages, thread gages, etc.)
- Coachable and willing to be fully engaged in all aspects of Quality principles and activities
- Experience with AS 9100 or ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems
