This position is for a staff IT Support technician who is under moderate supervision. Conduct moderately complex documentation activities. Coordinates installation of moderately complex hardware and software. Assists in orienting, training, and assigning work of technical/business support employees.

What YOU will do:
  • You will support, maintain, develop, and troubleshoot the operational network computer and telecommunication systems and related hardware and software components.
  • You will perform hardware and software installations, upgrades and maintenance of network computer systems, components, and applications.
  • You will provide and implement measures to improve the performance, security and/or availability of computer (operating) systems, components, and applications.
  • You will monitor and document computer (operating) systems, applications, and hardware operational statistics (usage, performance, security/access, errors, availability, etc.).
  • You will assist in developing and enhancing the network computer systems, operating systems, applications, and components.
  • You will ensure business data and systems are adequately protected and backed up in accordance with existing procedures and guidelines.
  • You will install, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain end-user systems and applications.
  • You will remain up to date with the latest relevant technology developments to ensure industry best practices and developments are known and investigated for applicability for the company.
  • You will participate in projects with other IT departments and/or external vendors.
  • You will perform other related duties as required.

  • You will learn how to work closely with the Network Administrators to monitor, analyze, and troubleshoot local area networks and components.
Qualifications you must have:
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. RTX will not offer sponsorship for this position (U.S. Citizen or Green Card Holder).
  • Typically requires an AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.
  • The associate must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.

The salary range for this role is 44,000 USD - 102,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.
Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
