Colonial Behavioral Health is Hiring a Credentialing Specialist Near Williamsburg, VA

Colonial Behavioral Health provides opportunities for recovery to individuals and their family members in the areas of mental illness, substance use disorder, and developmental disabilities. Colonial Behavioral Health serves the citizens of James City County, City of Poquoson, City of Williamsburg, and York County.We are currently recruiting for an Credentialing Specialist. This position  perform duties related to credentialing agency staff with private insurances and managed care organizations ; assist with other credentialing functions . 
  • Must have the ability to interpret and complete applications for contracting and credentialing while ensuring accuracy.
  • Responsible for providing data collection such as licenses and liability coverage, track and maintain provider information and credentialing documentation, and update databases and manage web portals. 
  • Provide education to staff on the credentialing process.
  • Other duties as assigned.
We are recruiting for PRN (work as needed) positions.Hours will be consistent with standard business hours (Monday-Friday) Skills and Qualifications
  • Must possess analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Must be able to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
  • Possess the ability to interact with clients, coworkers, and the public in a pleasant, tactful and courteous manner.
  • Must possess a strong ability to communicate with provider networks.
  • Work experience in behavioral health/health in an administrative setting preferred. 
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associate degree in healthcare/business related field. preferred
