We are seeking a passionate, dedicate, and nurturing toddler teacher to join our school family. The ideal candidate will create a positive and engaging classroom environment nurturing the child’s social, emotional, cognitive and spiritual development.

Responsibilities:

• Implement age appropriate engaging, educational lesson plans, based on our curriculum, that fosters the child’s development
• Create a safe and nurturing environment that encourages learning and positive behavior through our Conscious Discipline curriculum, while ensuring the safety of all students.
• Observes all rules and regulations for Colonial Hills United Methodist School and the local, state, or national regulatory agencies as it relates to the health, safety, and care of children.
• Maintain an attractive, well-kept classroom that encourages children to create, explore, and engage in learning
• Assess and document student’s developmental progress
• Responsible for maintaining open, professional communication with student‘s parents, as it relates to their child’s progress and needs.

Qualifications:

• Previous classroom experience or education in early childhood preferred
• Ability communicate effectively both verbal and written, with your co-teacher, staff, parents and children
• Must be patient, dependable, reliable, and responsible possessing a strong work ethic.

Requirements:

• Must have HS diploma or equivalent
• Must be able to lift 35 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergencies.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 31 – 37 per week
