ColonialWebb is Hiring a Plumbing Mechanic – Manufacturing/Fabrication Near Richmond, VA
ColonialWebb is looking for a Plumbing Mechanic to join the Fabrication Team in Richmond, VA. As a Plumbing Mechanic you will be responsible for assembling mechanical pipe together based on specific drawings.
- Location: 2820 Ackley Avenue Richmond, VA 23228.
- Environment: Fabrication Shop.
- Hours: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM, M-F.
A day in the life:
- Load and unload materials from trucks
- Teach, coach and provide directions to apprentices and helpers
- Study building plans and working drawings to determine work aids required and sequence of installations
- Cut, prep, thread pipe, solder and braze using necessary tools
You should have:
- At least 4 years industry experience or 2-year apprenticeship
- Knowledge of BOCA and OSHA safety regulations
- Knowledge of plumbing pipes and fittings
- Knowledge of fitting takeout and make ups
- Possess basic plumbing tools
- Ability to work a flexible work schedule to include varying shifts
