What you will do:

We are looking for a Senior Quality Improvement Consultant who can help shape our vision and support our mission. Here is what the position will look like.

  • Facilitates large-scale, multidisciplinary improvement initiatives across quality domains and strategic themes, in alignment with organizational goals and priorities; partners with project champions to lead, guide and implement initiatives using standard process improvement, project management and change management methods and tools.
  • Effectively assesses needs, objectives and challenges and partners with leaders to develop appropriate improvement strategies, interventions, and measures of impact over time.
  • Identifies project champions and forms and facilitates improvement teams and team meetings; leads teams in identifying problem, aims, scope, measures and designing, implementing, measuring, and monitoring targeted interventions; develops and maintains A3 problem solving and Lean Six Sigma project documents and tools, including annotated control charts to track interventions and measures over time.
  • Mentors other team members in the use of process improvement methodologies, certification, project management, leadership and change management; provides consultative support in the use of quality improvement methods and tools to assigned areas of the organization.
  • Demonstrates advanced understanding of healthcare data and quality measures; conducts and shares research related to best practices, benchmarks data and trends, including related laws, policies, procedures, methods, and tools.
  • Summarizes data, trends, observations, root cause analyses and actionable items on complex improvement initiatives.
  • Acts as consultant and advisor on quality improvement Initiatives, goal setting and measurement that impact the work within the organization.
  • Develops and deploys tools and educational materials for providers, members, and teams, as pertaining to improvement initiatives, interventions, and measures.
  • Manages dependencies, ensures transparency and alignment between teams and develops and communicates detailed plans and status updates for complex initiatives, while anticipating, communicating, assessing, mitigating, and pro-actively managing risks.
  • Facilitates and oversees day-to-day tactical operations across organizational improvement initiatives; establishes and maintains strong relationships with partners and stakeholders while being a steward for QI knowledge throughout the company and community.

What you will bring:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in healthcare related field required, including Public Health and Business Administration; An equivalent combination of education and experience can be substituted in lieu of degree. Master’s degree is preferred.

Experience: Minimum of seven years’ progressive healthcare improvement or healthcare quality assessment required. Experience working with National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) is required. Experience with Healthcare Effectiveness Data and Information Set (HEDIS) and National Quality Forum (NQF) programs and measures preferred. Experience leading and managing complex projects and experience in health insurance or health systems is preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Demonstrated ability to think strategically about complex issues, develop recommendations, strategic objectives and action plans. Advanced knowledge of healthcare process improvement, project management and change management principals Skilled in achieving project objectives through influence, critical thinking and collaboration, demonstrating a high-level of accountability and attention to detail. Demonstrates support for the company’s mission, vision and values. Position requires excellent verbal, written and presentation skills, strong organizational skills and teamwork skills. Demonstrated knowledge working with National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA), Healthcare Effectiveness Data and Information Set (HEDIS) and National Quality Forum (NQF) programs and measures. Must be proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Access, Power Point) and able to work with a variety of performance management, process improvement and project management tools. May be required to manage multiple priorities and projects with tight deadlines.

Licenses/Certifications: Lean Six Sigma Greenbelt or Blackbelt required; Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) preferred. A valid driver's license and proof of current auto insurance will be required for any position requiring driving.

Pay, Perks and Benefits at Colorado Access:

The compensation for this position is $102,620.00 to $120,180.00 annually. The pay rate/salary is commensurate with experience.

Where you will work:

This position will be a hybrid model work environment, a blend of ‘In-Office’ and ‘Remote.’

We are not able to support out of state employees at this time as we continue to serve our members and community in the metro Denver area and across the beautiful state of Colorado.
